Rio Hale
MSW Intern; 5 years of experience in the field
Earning MSW
As a pre-professional therapist, I bring both clinical training and deeply lived experience to my work. I grew up in the Wood River Valley, and returning has been one of the most meaningful parts of my journey. Over twenty years ago, I began my own recovery from addiction—an experience that continues to shape the compassion, presence, and authenticity I bring into the therapy room.
I work with adolescents and adults navigating addiction or recovery, anxiety, grief, identity shifts, and major life transitions. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for change, therapy with me offers a nonjudgmental space to explore your story at your own pace. My style is warm, grounded, and collaborative, rooted in genuine connection and honest conversation.
I integrate evidence-based and strengths-based, person-centered approaches, tailoring each session to your needs. Together, we’ll create a calm, supportive space to process what you’re carrying—whether it’s grief, anxiety, or the mix of fear and hope that often accompanies recovery. You don’t need to have everything figured out; you’ll be met exactly where you are. If you’re curious about therapy or ready to take the next step, I’d be honored to connect with you.
